“CAPTURE THE CARAVAN”

Type                                 Two way patrol
Deployment                    12” on table (scouts 24”)
Extra Scenery                 N/A
Extra Forces                   6 Dervish baggage camel bases + Camel mtd  Spear base

Scenario
The Anglo-Egyptian player has been ordered to intercept a small Dervish caravan of supplies
through hostile territory on its journey to the Haim where the forces of the Mahdi are.

Your mission is to capture the supplies and exit the table returning to the main column with the
supplies.

Anglo-Egyptian Player
The Anglo-Egyptian player deploys as per usual two-way patrol.  In order to capture the camels
each enemy baggage base needs to be contacted by a base.  It is then possible for a base to
lead a camel base away costing an extra 1 AP per turn.

Whilst leading away camels it is not possible for the base to fire or fight.

Camels can be abandoned at 0 AP cost.  It costs 2 AP round them up again.

The whole unit loses 1AP per turn if any base is escorting camels.

Dervish Player
The baggage camels are present at the game start.  They are in a column and are heading
towards Haim. The tail of the baggage column is at a point 30” from the Anglo-Egyptian base
edge.  The camels are loaded down and thus only move at 3” per AP spent [up to 4 maximum per
turn].  Accompanying the camels is a guard of a single camel mounted spearmen base.

The Dervish player must place a template representing the outskirts of Haim on his base edge.
This template is counted as scouted initially.

One Dervish unit can be placed upon the Anglo-Egyptian base edge if a 5 or 6 are rolled at the
end of the Dervish turn.

Extra Victory Points
·        d6 per baggage camel base.
