Since I started gaming in WW2 I have always had a problem with trucks. It annoyed me that they
were so expensive for what they are plus often were single purpose only. Until recently when
BF launched cheaper one piece resin trucks, making it cheaper, here's what I do.
When you have an open top truck (most PP are like this) cut a small piece of thin card/plaster
card, for the interior of the flat bed. You can then stick weapons, figures or supplies on card and
then make them interchangeable.
My BF Quad mounted Maxim MG are a good example. They are either light AA or with it removed
a flat bed which can accommodate troops or supplies.
Max and Rob Avery, amongst others, have begun using the idea. Max is also very adept at
scratchbuilding anything, hence the ATR on Max's Italians page.
My latest project has seen the PP Renault truck with seated crew interior, or gun crew and
leIG18 75mm Infantry gun, PaK35/36 and 20mm FLaK guns for carrying portee for the DAK.
Using the same truck, I've made some 6pdr portee for my Brits too.
